This resin is a very effective crosslinking agent for backbone polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl or amide functional groups such as epoxy, alkyd/polyester or acrylic resins.
MELCROSS-83 resin is insoluble in water. Due to its hydrophobic nature, this resin has to be dissolved initially in the organic phase of the water reducible backbone polymers.

Storage stability at room temperatures is minimum one year after delivery.
To control the stability, you can use primary alcohols, amins or with combination of these for neutralization and PH adjustment.
Electrocoating paints containing MELCOSS-85 crosslinking agent have higher throwing power than comparable systems and this resin can be used in the preparation of a wide range of general purpose industrial finishes.

Storage
