This resin is a partially Iso-butylated  urea melamine formaldehyde crosslinking resin with a medium level of butylation, a medium methylol content, a medium  viscosity.

MELCROSS-75 crosslinking agent has been designed for a very fast cure, minimum shrinkage, wood furniture and plywood baking, air drying aminoalkyd enamels for good gloss, excellent hardness and corrosion resistance properties.

Introduction
MELCROSS-75 crosslinking agent has fast drying properties
and shows low formaldehyde emission on acid curing wood coating application.
This resin is a very effective crosslinking agent for base resins containing amide, hydroxyl, carboxyl functional groups, such as alkyd, polyester or acrylic resins.
You can use this resin for the amount of 25-35% against base resin polymer based on resin solids.
MELCROSS-75 resin may not need the addition of an acid catalyst to the formulation to obtain effective cure. In many instances, the acidity of other formulation components is sufficient to catalyze the reaction.
If you use weak organic or inorganic acids as additionally catalyst to the formulation, you can get very effective results. Acid catalyzed coatings may be cured as low as 110-125°C for 15 minutes.
To control the stability, you can use primary alcohos,  amins or with cobination of these for neutralization and PH adjustment.
MELCROSS-75 resin is soluble in alcohols, ketones, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and partially in aliphatic hydrocar- bons, but insoluble in water.

Attention must be paid to the normal precautions for handling chemicals and to the measures prescript in the local health regulations.  The work place must be well ventilated, skin care measures should be adapted and safety google should be worn.

    Storage
If MELCROSS-75 is kept in tightly closed drums or in storage tanks in the cool place, its shelf life is 18 months.
